Celebrating Creativity and Inclusion in Glasgow Communities

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the recipients of the University of Glasgow’s GRID Civic Grant Fund for promoting diversity, inclusion and wellbeing across the Glasgow Riverside Innovation District; notes the work of Halo Arts’ Typically Diverse initiative, providing neurodivergent people with safe, creative spaces to express themselves, and Momentum Films’ South Asians in Cinema Collective, celebrating underrepresented voices in Scotland’s screen industry; recognises what it sees as the importance of these projects in empowering individuals, fostering understanding and creating inclusive communities; acknowledges the vision and commitment of organisers and volunteers in delivering innovative, meaningful programmes, and believes that funding for grassroots initiatives enriches lives, strengthens social connections, and ensures that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
