Newmains Community Trust Recognised as Best Community Development Initiative 2025

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Newmains Community Trust and the NCT Centre on being named Best Community Development Initiative 2025 – Central Belt at the SME News Scottish Enterprise Awards; recognises the NCT Centre as a vibrant community hub dedicated to improving lives through connection, learning and wellbeing; notes that the centre provides inclusive activities for people of all ages, alongside volunteering opportunities, health and social projects, and welcoming spaces for community events; acknowledges the importance of the Trust’s partnership, working with local groups and services in empowering individuals, reducing isolation and creating opportunities for personal and community growth, and commends everyone involved with Newmains Community Trust for their commitment to building a stronger, more resilient community where people feel supported, valued and welcome.
