Recognising Fundraising and Donations in Support of the Maranatha Centre

The motion

That the Parliament commends the fundraising efforts and generous donations made in support of the Maranatha Centre in December 2025; recognises the strong community response from individuals, organisations, businesses and community groups, including WH & R McCartney Insurance Brokers (Acrisure), ASLEF Union Motherwell Branch, SPAR Shields Road Motherwell and its customers, Dalziel Rugby Club, OILFAST Motherwell, HK Dog Care, Motherwell Phoenix 2018, students from New College Lanarkshire and local schools, and Adam Hogg; notes that these efforts included sponsored activities and creative fundraising to provide essential food donations; believes that this demonstrates the strength of community spirit during challenging economic times; recognises the vital role of the Maranatha Centre in supporting those in need, and thanks all involved for their kindness and continued support.
