Recognition of East Lothian Residents in The King’s New Year Honours List 2026

That the Parliament notes the achievements of two East Lothian residents who have been named in His Majesty The King’s New Year Honours List 2026; celebrates the award of a CBE to Lynn Brown, of Gullane, for her services to policing and public service, recognising her leadership as chief executive and accountable officer of the Scottish Police Authority; welcomes the recognition of William Geddie Watt, of Athelstaneford, for his services to the economy in his capacity as chair of the Scottish National Investment Bank; commends their collective dedication, professionalism and contributions to public service, heritage and Scotland’s economic life, and offers its warmest congratulations to both recipients and their families on this well-deserved national recognition.
