Worsening Situation in Northern Syria
The motion
That the Parliament expresses deep concern over reports of the ongoing and worsening situation in northern Syria, where Kurdish civilians and fighters are, it understands, being attacked, killed and abused by forces linked to the Syrian Government and ISIS-affiliated groups; supports calls for increased humanitarian assistance for displaced Kurdish communities, particularly women, and encourages the Scottish Government to engage with the UK Government on the need for protection, accountability and humanitarian access.
