A Banking Hub for Kilsyth
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the announcement that a banking hub will be created in Kilsyth following the completion of a Cash Access Assessment; notes that the assessment concluded that there was a deficiency in cash access services in the community; believes that having ready access to cash deposit and withdrawal facilities is important for both personal and business account holders; recognises what it sees as the importance of the banking hub model where retail banking has stepped back from local provision; hopes that hubs may be established in other communities where bank branches have closed, including Cumbernauld, and looks forward to the banking hub in Kilsyth opening in the near future.
