Condolences on the Passing of Fiona McCall
The motion
That the Parliament notes with great sadness the passing of Fiona McCall; recognises her commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable communities through Project Nakuru, the charity that she helped establish in 2011; acknowledges her tireless fundraising and hands-on support in Kenya, delivering vital educational and community support to children and families; commends her determination and courage in continuing her charitable work after her diagnosis with stage 4 lung cancer in 2023, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to supporting children and families in Nakuru despite her illness; notes that a classroom at a renovated school in Kenya was named in her honour and in recognition of her lasting contribution; believes that her compassion, resilience and unwavering dedication embodied the very best of the community spirit of Wishaw and the wider Lanarkshire area; expresses its profound gratitude for the difference she made to countless lives both at home and abroad, and extends its sincere condolences to her family, friends and colleagues at Project Nakuru and to all those whose lives she touched.
