Lodged by Audrey Nicoll Standard Motion 24 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament commends Victim Support Scotland on its Victims’ Awareness Week 2026, which runs from 20 to 27 February; notes that this year's theme is Cybercrime, which suggests that an increasingly digitised world is driving an increase in such reported crime types, including romance fraud, financial scams, AI/deepfakes, and social media and online stalking; recognises what it believes is the importance of people impacted by this crime type being empowered to report incidents; acknowledges the role of Victim Support Scotland in providing emotional and practical support to victims and witnesses of crime, including cybercrime, and encourages anyone affected by cybercrime to seek guidance and support, including from Victim Support Scotland.
