The motion
That the Parliament notes the ongoing campaign by the trade union, UNISON, in support of migrant care workers to secure their rights, treatment and conditions; believes that care workers from overseas play a valued and necessary role in the adult social care sector in Scotland; notes with concern reports that migrant care workers have been subject to unacceptable exploitation and mistreatment including bullying, racism, fraud and underpayment of wages; agrees with UNISON that migrant care workers deserve respect, dignity and fair pay for fair work, and that all workers in Scotland deserve fair treatment in the workplace, irrespective of immigration or citizenship status, and pays tribute to and offers its full solidarity to UNISON and UNISON members who are organising to build power in their workplaces in the adult social care sector across Scotland.
