Congratulating Buckie Community Hub

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Buckie Community Hub on securing £15,000 from the Moray Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, which is funded by the Scottish Government; recognises this funding as a strong endorsement of the vital role that the hub plays in supporting people in the local community; thanks the hub’s volunteers for their dedication and compassion, noting that the hub is run entirely by volunteers and was established through the vision and commitment of the Buckie Area Forum; acknowledges the wide range of support the hub provides, including food and clothing bank services, assistance with benefits, signposting to relevant agencies, access to printing services and a warm, safe and welcoming space where people can drop in for a cup of tea and a chat, and commends Buckie Community Hub for its outstanding contribution to community wellbeing, kindness and connection in Buckie.
