Taste of Buchan 2026

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the pupils of Peterhead Academy on the successful delivery of the third Taste of Buchan food and drink event, held at the Palace Hotel in Peterhead; recognises Taste of Buchan as a community celebration that brought local businesses and local people together, showcasing the very best of Buchan’s food and drink producers; applauds the leadership, creativity and professionalism shown by the pupils in organising and running the event, providing them with valuable real-world experience in planning, promotion and event delivery; acknowledges the support of VisitAberdeenshire in helping to bring the event to life; thanks the 2026 sponsors, Dales Engineering Services Ltd, 3:16 AVI and MKM Building Supplies, for their backing of this community-led initiative, and commends Taste of Buchan as an outstanding example of young people supporting local enterprise, celebrating regional produce and strengthening community connections.
