Marr College Recognised for Commitment to International Learning
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Marr College, in Troon, for achieving the intermediate level of the British Council’s International School Award; understands that the International School Award celebrates schools that do exceptional work in international education to support young people to gain a wider cultural understanding; further understands that the school undertook various projects, including exchanging letters and videos with students from schools in France, a music department project focusing on foreign influences on current French music, participation in ‘La Fiesta du foot’, where pupils produced football drills in both French and Spanish, a language workshop and a trip to Spain; commends all the pupils and staff involved at Marr College, and wishes them every success for the future.
