Commending Spring Fair Fundraiser for Our Community Kitchen

The motion

That the Parliament commends the organisers, volunteers and supporters of the spring fair fundraiser that was held at Haddington Bowling Club in aid of Our Community Kitchen in April 2026; notes that the event brought together local businesses and community members, offering a range of goods, refreshments and activities, including craft stalls, baking and a raffle; recognises that the fundraiser supports the important work of Our Community Kitchen in tackling social isolation and loneliness by bringing people together to enjoy home-cooked meals in a welcoming environment; applauds the continued commitment of volunteers and local residents in sustaining this vital community initiative, and thanks all those who participated and contributed to the success of the event, helping to strengthen community connections across Haddington and the wider East Lothian area.
