Clyde Valley Anglers Fundraising for Children’s Charities in Lanarkshire
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Clyde Valley members of United Clyde Angling Protection Association on their successful fundraising efforts, raising a bumper donation of £5000 for the Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation and Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) through a community event; recognises the valuable work of the Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation in granting wishes and creating positive experiences for seriously ill children, and the work of CHAS in providing hospice care and support for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions across Scotland; understands that the funds raised will help both charities continue delivering emotional, practical and specialist support to children and families in need; notes the importance of voluntary sporting and community groups in strengthening local ties and supporting charitable causes, and commends all those involved for their generosity, teamwork and commitment to improving lives in Lanarkshire and across Scotland.
