A GP Walk-in Centre in Midlothian North

Lodged by Colin Beattie (Scottish National Party) Members' Business Motion 1 supporter

The motion

That the Parliament notes the view that there is a need for a GP walk-in centre to be opened in Midlothian North; understands that Midlothian is the fastest-growing local authority in Scotland, which, it believes, should make Midlothian North a priority for a walk-in GP centre; acknowledges that improving access to GP services is a priority for the people of Scotland, and welcomes what it understands has been the successful trial of GP walk-in centres across the country as a step towards improving access.
