Slimming World Groups in Wishaw Support Cancer Research UK Through Clothing Donation Campaign

That the Parliament congratulates the members of Slimming World groups in Wishaw, led by consultant, Lian McCulloch, on donating 62 bags of clothing to Cancer Research UK as part of The Big Slimming World Clothes Throw campaign; understands that the donations are expected to raise more than £2,000 to support vital cancer research into prevention, treatment and early diagnosis; recognises what it sees as the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles and raising awareness of the links between maintaining a healthy weight and reducing cancer risk; understands that Slimming World has raised more than £25 million for Cancer Research UK through its charitable partnership over the years, and commends all those involved for their outstanding community spirit and commitment to supporting people across Lanarkshire and beyond.
