World Human Milk Donation Day on 19 May

The motion

That the Parliament celebrates that 19 May is World Human Milk Donation Day; notes that there are over 600 human milk banks operating in at least 60 countries around the world; appreciates the work of Milk Bank Scotland, which is a national service located within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde; welcomes its life-saving provision of safe, screened donor milk to premature and ill babies across Scotland, and expresses its deep gratitude for the selflessness and generosity of all milk donors who make this vital service possible.
