Thanking Graeme Shinnie

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Graeme Shinnie on his successful career at Aberdeen Football Club, as he announces his time at Pittodrie will come to an end; notes that the 34-year-old captain will leave the Dons next month, having made 344 appearances, placing him inside Aberdeen FC’s all-time top 20 appearance list; acknowledges that Aberdeen-born Graeme Shinnie became the first Aberdeen FC captain since 1990 to lift the Scottish Cup, in 2025; understands that he is also the first captain to lift the Scottish Cup with two different clubs outside the Old Firm, and wishes the Dons' legend the very best as he returns to Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC.
