Girls’ Brigade Members Recognised for Brigaders Brooch Awards and Long Service Achievement

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Girls’ Brigade Members, Sophie Speirs of 5th Motherwell, Naomi Bevan of 3rd Motherwell, Caitlyn Paterson of 3rd Motherwell and Isla Robertson of 3rd Motherwell, for being awarded the Brigaders Brooch, the second-highest award in the Girls’ Brigade; recognises the dedication, commitment and leadership demonstrated by each recipient in achieving this prestigious honour; congratulates Margaret Hughes of 1st Wishaw on reaching 40 years of service; acknowledges what it sees as the important role that the Girls’ Brigade continues to play across Scotland in supporting young people by encouraging confidence, leadership, faith and community service, while providing lasting opportunities for friendship and personal development; commends all recipients for their outstanding contribution to the Girls’ Brigade and to their local communities, and wishes them continued success in the future.
