Honouring Girls’ Brigade Volunteers and Young Leaders in Uddingston and Bellshill

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the achievements and dedication of Girls’ Brigade Scotland members from the Uddingston and Bellshill constituency who were recently honoured at the Motherwell and Wishaw Division AGM; congratulates Janey Kennedy of 1st Bellshill Girls’ Brigade and Michelle Miller of 1st Burnhead Girls’ Brigade on being recognised by Girls’ Brigade International for 30 years of service; commends Janey and Michelle for their decades of commitment to supporting young people within their communities; congratulates Sophie McGown of 1st Bellshill Girls’ Brigade on achieving her Brigader Brooch, the second highest award within the organisation, recognising her commitment, leadership and personal development; acknowledges the important role played by Girls’ Brigade leaders and volunteers across the constituency in providing opportunities, guidance and support to young people, and thanks all those involved for their continued contribution to community life across Uddingston and Bellshill.
