New College Lanarkshire Awards Fellowship to Michelle McManus

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates New College Lanarkshire on awarding its Fellowship, the College’s highest honour, to Michelle McManus at its Motherwell campus; recognises that the Fellowship is bestowed on individuals whose achievements have made a significant and lasting impact on the lives of people in Lanarkshire and beyond; commends Michelle McManus for her outstanding contribution to the creative industries and for her charitable work supporting communities across Scotland; acknowledges her success as a singer, broadcaster and public figure, and the positive example that she provides to aspiring performers and young people; applauds her continued commitment to promoting the arts and supporting charitable causes, and wishes her every success in her future endeavours.
