Glasgow Clyde College is Further Educational Institution of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow Clyde College on being named Further Educational Institution of the Year at the 2026 Herald Higher Education Awards, which were sponsored by The Open University in Scotland; recognises that this prestigious accolade is a reflection of the college’s excellence in learning and teaching, equality, wellbeing, partnership working and community engagement; notes the judges’ praise for its culture of innovation, collaboration and inclusion; acknowledges what it sees as the transformative impact of its work on students, employers and local communities, including across the Glasgow Southside constituency, through the Langside campus, and commends everyone involved for their continued commitment to creating opportunities and delivering positive outcomes across Scotland.
