Aberdeen Community Action Team Takes Action on Illegal Vehicle Use
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the success of Operation Armour in Aberdeen; understands that Operation Armour was conducted by officers from Police Scotland’s Aberdeen Community Action Team between 18 May and 5 June 2026, in an effort to address the increase in reports of illegal vehicle use across Aberdeen City; notes that during this operation, Police Scotland seized a total of five electric motorbikes, 19 e-bikes, 15 e-scooters, five petrol motorcycles, a van and a car, and that 50 people have been charged in connection with dangerous driving crimes, four charged in connection with the supply of controlled drugs and eight charged with possession of controlled drugs; commends the Aberdeen Community Action Team for addressing illegal vehicle use, and wishes them success in any future operations.
