Tabled by Sir David Madel (Conservative)

The motion
leave out from `House' to end and add `congratulates the Conservative Government and Conservative county councillors on making substantial improvements to Bedfordshire's education system since 1979, including new schools, a large expansion of four plus nursery units, replacement of school buildings and improving standards (confirmed by OFSTED reports in the county); and wonders for how long non-Conservative county councillors will continue to ignore the problem of surplus school places, which is the one aspect of education that is diverting resources from popular and successful schools.'.
