KANZEN KARATE SCOTLAND

That this House congratulates Kanzen Karate Scotland on their recent outstanding success at the World Union of Karate Federations World Karate Championships 2016, which were held in Dublin between 15 and 19 June 2016 and attracted over 2,000 international karate athletes; notes that the Kanzen 13 to 14 year-old Girls Team from Dundee returned home as world champions alongside Jude Steven from Wellbank, who was named World Kata Champion in the nine to 10 years section; and celebrates that the entire squad performed well, winning medals in other sections; acknowledges the work of coaches, students and supporters in making this happen and wishes Kanzen Karate Scotland all the best in further international competitions.
