Laura Muir Commonwealth Games 1500m Champion

That this House congratulates Laura Muir on her victory in the 1500m at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, in a time of 4:02.75; further congratulates Laura for her bronze medal finish in the 800m earlier in the Games; notes that this victory followed her third-place finish in the 1500m at this year’s World Championships; further notes that that Laura’s 1500m victory topped off an impressive Games for Team Scotland’s athletics squad, which won eight medals; recognises the role that her club, Dundee Hawkhill Harriers, and her coaching team have had in her success; and wishes Laura, and all at Dundee Hawkhill Harriers, all the best for the rest of the season.
