Union of Agricultural Work Committees in the Occupied West Bank

The motion

That this House condemns the raid carried out on 1 December 2025 by Israeli forces on the offices of the Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC), a Palestinian non-governmental organisation, in Ramallah and Hebron in the Occupied West Bank; notes that soldiers reportedly physically assaulted, tied up and blindfolded people who were present at the UAWC premises and detained eight male agricultural workers; further notes that office equipment was confiscated, documents seized, and that the Palestine Local Seed Bank in Hebron was specifically targeted, resulting in the destruction of seed stocks representing vital plant genetic heritage; and calls on the Government to press for the immediate release of the detained agricultural workers, the return of all confiscated property including the seeds bank, and to hold the Israeli authorities accountable for repeated violations affecting agricultural, environmental and human rights.
