Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill

Lord Pannick moved amendment 19, in clause 10, page 7, line 5, at end to insert “, or (c) that: (i) it is necessary to make the services available to the individual under this Part to prevent specific injustice in a particular case; and (ii) it is appropriate to do so, in order to prevent such injustice, from the funds (if any) which the Lord Chancellor in his discretion makes available to the Director for the purposes of this paragraph.” The House divided:
