Lord Turnbull moved amendment 50A, in clause 1, page 1, line 14, at end to insert: “(7) No order shall be made under subsection (6) until the Secretary of State has prepared, published and laid before Parliament an assessment of the United Kingdom’s intended relationship with the European Union in the event of withdrawal from the European Union.” The Committee divided:
