It was moved by the Baroness Anelay of St Johns, in Clause 25, page 11, line 42, at end to insert: “( ) In exercising his powers under subsection (1), the Lord Chancellor shall have regard to the need to ensure that court-houses are locally accessible by persons resident in each local justice area.”; which being objected to, the question was put thereupon, and the House divided:
