Pensions Bill

It was moved by the Lord Oakeshott of Seagrove Bay, in Clause 284, page 235, line 25, at end to insert: “( ) In 2007 and three yearly thereafter, the Secretary of State shall present a written report to both Houses of Parliament on the adequacy of the funds provided by the Exchequer to the financial assistance scheme, including the numbers of qualifying members assisted under the scheme and a comparison with amounts payable by the Pension Protection Fund.”; which being objected to, the question was put thereupon, and the House divided:
