Attendance is votes cast as a share of the 2,903 Holyrood divisions on record. A rebellion is a vote against the way most of their own party voted; free votes, where no party line applies, are left out. At Holyrood an abstention is a deliberate recorded vote, distinct from not voting at all.

Party-loyalty figures are our own analysis of the official voting records (recorded votes only; they do not describe the formal whip). How we work this out.

24 Jun 2026   Portfolio Question Time (draft)

23 Jun 2026   Climate Change (draft)

What I would add to the debate and highlight to Finlay Carson is that, although some campaign groups are very loud, the hundreds of young people who come to me and who want to support green policies are often not heard. Although it is grea…

I will not take the intervention. That said, although I recognise and condemn the spread of misinformation, as other speakers in this debate have outlined, I am not seeking to justify or determine the legitimacy of the climate emergency. Th…

23 Jun 2026   Climate Change (draft)

I put on the record how disappointed and, frankly, staggered I have been by some of the language that has been used in this debate. To refer to climate change as a faith-based belief is not only baffling and disrespectful but dangerous.
