What the petition asks
The honours system in the UK is now devalued by too many honours given for political cronyism.
Honours should only be awarded to people in all walks of life who through actions great or small have made a positive contribution to British life. They should be awarded by a non-political panel who can consider all nominations on their merit.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
