What the petition asks

Taxpayers are expected to pay for repairs to Buckingham palace whilst thousands are impoverished by an uncaring government, food-bank use is sky high, benefits are continually eroded and the rich continue to legally avoid tax. We should not be made to pay for the luxuries of the privileged.

This petition is started so the government MUST take note of it. The petition at https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/make-royals-pay-for-palace-renovation already has 121,000 signatures but the government will simply ignore that, so I have started this petition.
