What the petition asks
When MPs abandon the values and policies for which they were elected, or act against the clear interests of their constituency, voters should have the means to remove them. Allow constituents to trigger a by-election by collecting a fixed number of signatures.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
