Petition · past parliament

Make live televised debates compulsory during general election campaigns.

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

It is an important component of modern democracy that politicians are seen to debate with each other away from the unrealistic atmosphere of the house of commons. They should be forced to debate with each other in front of a studio audience on live TV, especially during a general election campaign.
