What the petition asks
A TV debate is needed for the upcoming general election on the 8th of June. A snap election was called by the government and the prime minister has refused to partake in a debate. A TV debate is the best way to communicate to the public "why to vote for a party", as each party can be compared
All major parties should be present at the party, represented by their leaders. If a leader refuses to partake, then they shouldn't be leading a party, let alone a country. Either a replacement representative of the party or an empty seat should be given to them on the debate panel. A debate should purely use facts and not personally attack members of the panel. It needs to be about their plans for the future, how they plan to do it and why they are better suited to do it then anyone else.
