Make roads car worthy

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

There are reports that more and more cars are being brought into garages for repairs to tracking and suspension. This increase is being caused by poor road surfaces and repairs.

If vehicles must be kept road worthy, then roads must be car worthy.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to make roads "car worthy".

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could ask the Government to require local authorities to maintain roads to a minimum standard, or to increase funding to local authorities for road repairs.

If you are particularly concerned about potholes, you may wish to sign this petition instead: Stop the pothole pandemic ravaging communities through out the UK.

If you want the Government to pay for car repairs, as the result of damage from potholes, you may wish to sign this petition: Government to pay for all car repairs caused by potholes
