What the petition asks
Brexit has shown that many MP's stood on an election manifesto pledge to respect the result of the referendum but now wish to do the opposite. Any MP who cannot abide the manifesto pledges, that got them elected be compelled to stand down and face a by-election so their electorate can vote again
Respect for our Parliamentarians is at an all time low, even our PM stood on a manifesto pledge to leave the single market and the customs union to now advocate the opposite. She was elected on her manifesto pledges not on the opposite.
Our MPs should be compelled to abide by their manifesto pledges or they can be elected on one promise to then do the opposite without censure. This must change to bring back confidence in Parliamentarians. Any MP who does this needs to face a by-election
