Strongly condemn India on Revoking Article370 urge to maintain Kashmirs autonomy

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

The UK has a responsibility to respond to the conflict which came about after the rushed Independence of the subcontinent. UK statesman Lord Mountbatten, assured Kashmir signing the Instrument of Accession would be temporary until a plebiscite is held.UK also signed UN Security Council Resolution 47
Revoking article 370 is a violation of India's agreement with J&K under its Instrument of Accession it contravenes international law and dishonours a bilateral agreement between two states. India stripping Kashmir of autonomy and deploying 35,000 additional troops is a cause for great concern. Roughly 1million British nationals originating from Pakistan administered Kashmir are personally effected so look to parliament to address Indias illegal occupation of J&K since August 5th 2019.
