What the petition asks

We are in an environmental crisis.
In 2017 the UK government made an agreement to plant trees between 2017 and 2022. The committee on climate change said that 30,000 hectares of woodland should be planted annually and if other carbon reduction targets were not met that should increase to 50,000.
