What the petition asks
Sulphur hexafluoride, or SF6, is widely used in the electrical industry. It is a seriously harmful greenhouse gas. We need to commit to a ban on future production of this gas, put into force in 2025. Resources must be put in place to research viable alternatives in switchgear technology.
