Abolish the Supreme Court!

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

The Supreme Court replaced the Law Lords in the early noughties.
It is meant to be impartial in its rulings.
However, recent events such as the overturning of the Prorogation of Parliament have shown it is anything but.
Lady Hale has shown her partisanship with her comments comparing herself to Spider Woman versus the Hulk (an attack on Boris Johnson).
The Supreme Court has demonstrated that it is not fit for purpose with its partisan rulings.
It is time to abolish it and replace it with a truly independent judiciary body.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand you'd like to abolish the Supreme Court, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to replace it with. In particular, we aren't sure how you'd like any new 'independent judicial body' to be different from the current system.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
