What the petition asks
Provide all UK owned critical businesses, SME & micro businesses with a 50% business tax rebate from the previous year (2019/20) to free up cash to enable businesses to cope with Covid-19. Provide a 10% per month reduction (up to 50%) to enable businesses to cope with the reduction in earnings.
Save our businesses. Most businesses have less than 2 months of working capital. Specify what the tax rebate can cover e.g. overheads and wages not profits or shareholder payouts.
Enable businesses to cover overheads, retain staff and remain viable so that when Covid-19 is no longer a problem the businesses are still in existence and can start up and generate taxes.
