What the petition asks
Release models and data that the government is using for the coronavirus pandemic forecast as soon as this data is made available to the Government and can be feasibly be uploaded to a public access website.
Early release of this data will enable doctors, scientists, analysts, engineers and other members of the public to understand the government strategy in more depth and ensure we have the best possible strategy for dealing with the crisis.
The government stated that it wants to make decisions about handling of the coronavirus pandemic based on scientific models. Releasing data and models will ensure that we receive benefit of "peer review" - one of the most fundamental scientific traditions.
