What the petition asks
Stop ebay, Amazon Marketplace etc. from facilitating the sale of essentials such as paracetamol and toilet paper at grossly inflated prices.
Whilst there are people who are no doubt panic buying for themselves. Others are clearing the shelves of shops only to put them up for auction online, preying on people's fears and genuine needs.
The government needs to outlaw that practice as it is doing with ticket touts and to do so urgently.
It also needs to close down access to any market for the unscrupulous so that there is no route to profit from their selfishness.
