Fine people who are caught stockpiling goods like nappies and essential products

What the petition asks
I would like the goverment to introduce fines for people caught stockpiling necessary products and then reselling them for a profit
I think it would be a good idea to fine people who are caught stockpiling and then selling essential goods like toilet roll and nappies as the stores are dry of product and some families that genuinely need them cant purchase anything as the products are sold within hours of restocking them and then seeing people who clearly have no use of certain products selling them for a profit putting strain on families with young children and elderly people who cant get out to purchase them straight away
Why it was rejected
