Government to force Train Companies to allow cancellation on Advance Fares

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

A lot of people have booked to go to events that have now been cancelled due to the Corona Virus, by using value advance fares. In order to get refunds you need to book the same journey and be subject to a £10 fee, when a lot of people probably don't need to go to the same place again.
Government have the power to ask the Train Companies to do this, to allow people to get their money back, without booking journies that are now not needed, without any penalty.

This is no fault of our making, so I urge you to sign.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
