Stop all meat shops from increasing prices!
Rejected

What the petition asks
Due to the Covid-19 we have been advised to self isolate. Since then all halal meat shops and corner shops have more than doubled their price on everything and we cannot afford it. During this crisis we need to stick together and people are taking advantage.
We want you to ensure that all shops abide by trading laws and they stop increased prices to more than double during this pandemic outbreak. It’s not fair on us who cannot afford it. Please sign the petition for a change!
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The price of consumer goods is a matter for individual producers and retailers, not the Government or Parliament.
We have published a petition calling on the Government to restrict people stockpiling and reselling items at inflated prices, which you might like to sign: Restrict people stockpiling and reselling items at inflated prices
