What the petition asks
To provide those who are recently self-employed who do not yet have a full year worth of accounts with financial aid during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Today Rishi Sunak announced that the UK government would be launching a support scheme for those who are self-employed and have at least one year of accounts. However, the scheme left thousands of people who became self-employed towards the back end of 2019 and early 2020 without financial aid.
I am calling for some sort of financial support or grant that recently self-employed people can access to prevent them from facing financial difficulty during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
